Slender false foxglove plants are 12-14" tall. The flowers of slender false foxglove arise from the leaf axils. Flower buds are bright white and spherical; flowers range from pink to purple, and globular, attached to the tip of an elegant flower stalk (pedicel) and calyx reminiscent of a medieval trumpet (a buisine). The petals have fine hairs along their margins; there are dark purple spots on the lower interior of the flower.
